The oils used in the loader are mainly engine oil, engine diesel, torque converter/transmission oil (hydraulic transmission oil) drive bridge oil, hydraulic oil used in hydraulic system, grease used in each hinge pin, correct The selection and use of these oils is important to maintain proper operation of each system, reduce wear and extend machine life.
Engine oil
1 viscosity grade and quality grade
At present, the widely used oil viscosity classification in the world is the SAE American Society of Automotive Engineers grading standards. For example, SAE5W40 or SAEl5W40W means winter. The smaller the front number, the thinner the viscosity of the oil, the better the fluidity. The better the protection of the engine. The number behind W is the indicator of high temperature resistance of the oil. The larger the value, the better the protection performance of the oil at high temperature. The higher viscosity oil has a relatively high resistance to the sports system, which not only consumes power but also increases fuel consumption. The oil is easily oxidized, affecting the protection during cold start.
Generally, the American Petroleum Institute (API) grade is used to represent the classification of engine oil quality. The simple code is used to describe the working capacity of the engine oil. For diesel engines that are used in construction machinery such as loaders, the oil quality grade is from SA to SL letters. The lower the quality level, the higher the performance of the oil is better than the former one for each letter, and there are more additives to protect the engine.

2 diesel engine oil selection
For the diesel engine of the loader, the working conditions are poor and the working load is large. It is recommended to use CD oil. The use of CD-grade SAE20W40 for the South suggests the use of CD-grade SAE5W30 or 10W30 for the North. Some imported engines require CECF and above. For example, Cummins engines require CF4 or higher.
2. Engine diesel
Diesel fuels containing less than 0.5% sulfur are generally used. If the sulfur content is high, the cycle of oil change will be shortened. 5. Hydraulic oil
Viscosity is an important performance index of hydraulic oil, because the lower the viscosity, the smaller the power loss, the higher the mechanical efficiency; the lower the viscosity, the lower the volumetric efficiency, so the optimum viscosity meets the minimum wear requirements of the bearing and hydraulic pump. Also consider low temperature performance. Domestic hydraulic oils generally choose the mineral oil type and synthetic hydrocarbon type hydraulic oil specified in GB11118.1â–¡94. Due to the poor working conditions of the loader, heavy working load and high hydraulic oil temperature, the high-grade anti-wear hydraulic oils Lâ–¡HM32 and Lâ–¡HM46 are generally used. Low-temperature hydraulic oils Lâ–¡HV32 and Lâ–¡HV46 are recommended under low temperature conditions. model.
6. Grease
A multi-purpose grease used abroad containing 1% to 5% of molybdenum disulfide and it is also a suitable anti-corrosion agent. This kind of grease is suitable for various hinge pins, joint bearings, swing frame bearings, drive shafts, etc., and has a wide range of uses. This grease must be a mixture of advanced lithium-based and EP additives. It has the characteristics of stable chemical properties, no hardening, no leakage or no dripping. Generally, the grease of No. 1 or No. 2 specified in the NLGI American Grease Association is applicable to a wide temperature range and is suitable for applications where the temperature is very low.
