Since the pressure bar and ball pad on the left side of the press (Fig. 1) are particularly prone to wear, the replacement of the new piece takes less than one year, and a long groove of 3 to 5 mm wide and 2 to 4 mm deep is produced on the entire lower spherical surface. And the pressure bar and the ball mat are ground. In addition, the accident of pulling and breaking the inner casing of the worm wheel occurred twice in succession. Therefore, temporary repairs were organized every year. The total height of the press is more than 12m, the total weight is 355t, and the disassembly and repair work is very large. It takes more than 20 days for each repair and costs 23,300 yuan.
