At present, China's health products are mainly aimed at the middle-aged and elderly market, and the young people's market has not been large. However, health textiles can break this limit. This undoubtedly brings strong development momentum to the health care products industry and gradually expands and changes the target population in the health care product market.

The health care industry is a sunrise industry. It is impossible to rely entirely on sunset populations. It is necessary to develop highly targeted health care products and health services according to different age groups and different consumer demands.

Health-care textiles can make traditional textiles stand out from low value-added traps. At present, the average profit margin of China's textile industry is only about 3.97%, and the average profit rate of more than two-thirds of the enterprises above designated size is only 0.36%. It is precisely because of the large scale of the industry that it cannot withstand the trouble. However, in contrast, health-care textile products can meet the health needs of consumers, have a certain scientific and technological content, and practical value, and determine their high added value. The general profit rate of enterprises is 15%-50%. between. However, the development of health-care functional textiles in China has been more than ten years since the 1990s and is now undergoing a transition from a disorderly development period to a consolidation period. Its characteristics are: rapid development, strong consumer demand; industry consolidation, anticipation of standardized development; lack of management, lack of standards, product quality and technology levels are uneven, exaggerated propaganda, price system confusion. At present, the healthcare functions claimed by the health functional textiles sold in the market include far-infrared, antibacterial, magnetic functions, negative ions, radiation protection, anti-thrombosis, anti-varicose veins, and more than ten functions. However, up till now, China has established association standards only for far-infrared health care functions, magnetic health care functions, and anti-bacterial health care functions. The China Health Care Association, the China Standardization Association, and the China Knitting Industry Association are currently working on the development of textile standards for health-care functions such as electromagnetic radiation, negative ions, and anti-thrombosis, and they will be completed by the end of this year.

At present, health-care functional textiles, which have become marginalized in the textile industry, have already become prominent in the mainstream industry. According to predictions of relevant experts, the health-care functional textile industry will continue to maintain a growth rate of more than 20% for a considerable period of time, at least for the expected 10 years and 20 years, and this trend will not diminish. Therefore, by 2015, the industry is expected to reach a scale of 200 billion yuan, and will gradually adjust and change the traditional textile industry with small yield, high labor costs, excess productivity, and lack of industry competitiveness to become high added value and core competitiveness. industry.
