In June, the import volume of polysilicon approached 10,000 tons, and the processing tax avoidance accounted for over 80%.

China's imports of polysilicon in processing trade in June are still absolutely dominant, accounting for 80.1% of the total, up 10.3% higher than the total imports in May. Except for the 150 tons of semiconductor polysilicon that is not in the "double-reverse" range, it is imported through the general trade mode. All other countries have avoided the "double-reverse" taxation through processing trade, which eventually caused the total monthly import volume in June to suddenly increase to 9566 tons. The chain increased by 37.7%, a record high in the history of imports in a single month.

According to the latest customs statistics, the amount of polysilicon imported through processing trade is 7,662 tons, of which 1,936 tons of polysilicon is imported from the United States, an increase of 64.8% from the previous month. The amount of polysilicon that the US, South Korea and Europe polysilicon re-exported into Taiwan through processing trade was 736 tons, accounting for 7.7% of the total imports. Processing trade and re-exporting Taiwan have become the two main ways to circumvent the "double-reverse" taxation, which has led to a change in the volume of polysilicon imports from the mainland.

The mainland imported a total of 45,932 tons of polysilicon from January to June, an increase of 17.4% year-on-year. Among them, the import volume through processing trade reached 34,068 tons, accounting for 74.2% of the total imports. Imports through Taiwan's entrepot trade reached 4,765 tons, accounting for 10.4% of the total imports.
