Exploring reserves of 300 million tons of large-scale coal production at the junction of Yunnan-Guizhou

The Central Geological Survey** funded the discovery and exploration of a large-scale, high-quality coking coal mine in Fuyuan County, Yunnan Province and Panxian County, Guizhou Province in the southwestern region of China. The area of ​​the border between the two provinces is 56.8 square kilometers. It can submit reserves of 300 million tons of coal resources.

This project passed the field work acceptance of the relevant expert group organized by the Ministry of Land and Resources on the 15th, laying the foundation for the orderly development and utilization of resources in the next step.

It has been learned that in recent years, there have been frequent mass disputes over the exploitation of coal resources at the junction of Pan County, Guizhou Province and Fuyuan County, Yunnan Province. In response to this situation, the Ministry of Land and Resources proposed that the Central Geological Survey and Management Center will be entrusted with the project to carry out a general survey of the coal resources at the junction of Lemin Town, Pan County, and Fucun Town, Fuyuan County, Yunnan Province. On the basis of the reserves of resources and the occurrence of ore bodies, a plan for the establishment of mining rights will be formulated in accordance with the principles conducive to the development of resources and the protection of the environment, and coal resources across provinces will be developed in accordance with the requirements for resource integration.

Du Qingkun, chief economist of the Central Bureau of Geological Survey and Management Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources, said that this was the first detailed investigation project deployed since the establishment of the Central Exploration and Management Center, focusing on finding out the coal resources in the region. The next step is to set up mineral rights and scientifically and rationally develop geological data. In order to guarantee the smooth progress of the project and the quality of the construction, the Supervision Department of the Central China Institute of Geological Survey ** has established a dedicated supervision team to conduct on-site supervision of the entire project implementation process.
