The bonus standard adjustments, the State Supreme Science and Technology Award was established nearly 20 years and the prize money structure for the first time changes designed to fully reflect the party and state incentives and concern for S & T workers.
Among them, the State Supreme Science and Technology Award prizes standard adjustment principle, in addition to prize money by 60%, but also on the bonus distribution structure adjustment. The plan proposes to award the bonuses to the individual winners, which are subject to personal control.
When the National Science and Technology Award was established in 1999, the bonus of RMB 5 million was “500,000 yuan for the personal income of the winners and 4.5 million yuan for research fundingâ€. At present, the channels for scientific research personnel in China to obtain research funding have been greatly expanded. In addition, with reference to international practice, it is a common practice for internationally renowned technology awards to award all prizes to individual winners.
While adjusting the national highest science and technology award bonus standard, the national natural science award, the national technology invention award, the national science and technology progress award "three major awards" bonus standards have been appropriately adjusted, the principle of adjustment is to increase the prize amount by 50% . That is, the special prize bonus standard is adjusted from 1 million yuan/item to 1.5 million yuan/item, the first prize bonus standard is adjusted from 200,000 yuan/item to 300,000 yuan/item, and the second-class prize bonus standard is adjusted from 100,000 yuan/item. It is 150,000 yuan / item.
In order to enhance the sense of honor and mission of the award-winning scientific and technical personnel, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance conducted in-depth research, and put forward proposals for the adjustment of the national science and technology award bonus standard, and consulted relevant units.
